Jane Gazzo (born 1977) is a radio presenter, performance and club DJ, TV personality, voice artist, music journalist.

At one point in her career, she fronted a rock band which was played on the BBC Radio 1 show, Evening Session, and by John Peel on his radio show.

Jane described herself as "Cyndi Lauper meets Germaine Greer" in an October 1, 2004 Guardian Unlimited newspaper article.

Early years

Jane was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia and has her degree in Arts, Media, and Cinema from La Trobe University in Melbourne.

It was in her mature teenage years that she worked for 3RRR Radio in Melbourne, presenting the overnight music show and a Sunday afternoon new music show called 'Calamity' with Jane Gazzo.

She became a national celebrity in her native Australia as a result of her national radio and TV shows, including Triple J radio's Super Request and Australian Broadcasting Corporation TV's cult live three hour Saturday morning program, Recovery. It was on this TV show that she interviewed some of the top international bands on tour.

Move to England

Jane relocated to London, England in 1999 with a box of specially selected records.

In London, she worked numerous jobs. Representative of these were a summer at the Rough Trade shop, a DJ at Alan McGee's Death Disco, and a presenter on various London radio stations, including XFM and Capital FM.

Jane has done reporting from important music festivals and award shows in the United Kingdom and Australia.

She joined BBC 6 Music in 2002, and presented Jane Gazzo's Dream Ticket from July, 2004 to September, 2005. In addition, Jane presented other varied BBC 6 Music shows and specials.

In December, 2005, she returned to the airwaves on BBC 6 Music, presenting the mid-morning show during the holidays.

And in January 2006, Jane was on BBC 6 Music's Music Week show, previewing the Big Day Out festivals playing in Australia.
