Jeffrey DeMunn (born April 25, 1947 in Buffalo, New York) is an American theatre, film and television actor.

DeMunn graduated from Union College with a Bachelor of Arts in English. He moved to England in the early 1970s, receiving theatrical training at the Old Vic Theatre. When he returned to the States, he performed in a Royal Shakespeare Company production of King Lear and several off-Broadway productions, including Bent, Modigliani and A Midsummer Night's Dream
.

His film credits include The Shawshank Redemption
, The Green Mile, Citizen X
(as serial killer Andrei Chikatilo), and Newsies
. He also has an extensive television resumé, having made appearances in shows such as Kojak, Law & Order, and two of its spinoffs, Special Victims Unit and Trial by Jury.
