Jeremy Edwards (b. February 17, 1971) is a British actor who has appeared in the TV shows Hollyoaks and Holby City in which he plays Danny Shaughnessy.

He lives in North London.

Previous work

Edwards has a degree in Public Administration from Manchester University and his previous jobs have included Modelling, and as a TV Researcher. He also delivered burgers on roller skates in Soho and washed up at the canteen at Reading railway station for a short time.

Big Brother

In early 2005 he came back into the limelight in the UK by taking part in Celebrity Big Brother, where he finished 4th behind Brigitte Nielsen, Kenzie from Blazin' Squad and the winner Bez.

Personal life

He was previoulsy engaged to singer Rachel Stevens but they broke up in 2004 after a serious of blazing rows over Jeremy's drinking. Edwards later said that the their relationship hit the rocks after co-star Laura Sadler's death. Shortly after Sadler fell from a balcony after doing cocaine and consuming a severe amount of alcohol Edwards' life became a downward spiral and he then began having boozy nights out at local pubs which greatly displeased Stevens. After giving Edwards an ultimatum and a booze ban Stevens got fed up with her then fiance and the two split.

For a month after the split the couple did not speak at all but Edwards then realized that Stevens was the most important thing to him and quickly tried to shape up. Soon thereafter the couple reconciled and were seen together minus Stevens' engagement ring. Despite media reports saying the two were finally finished they began looking for homes in Belsize Park.

Pictures of the cuddly couple emerged and it seemed like everything was going well for the two. But after Edwards relapsed and began having more nights out Stevens finally gave up and ended the relationship after three years and an engagement.
