Jim Sturgess is a British actor most famous for playing the younger Charlie in the series of TV movies, The Quest (2002), The Second Quest (2004) and The Final Quest (2004).

He is a former member of the National Youth Music Theatre(1993-95) and studied at Salford University’s School of Media, Music and Performance.

Although primarily active in television he has also appeared in film and radio.

During the BBC's Shakespeare Retold season in late 2005, he played Patroclus in a BBC Radio 3 adaptation of Troilus and Cressida. He voiced a character in Heading It Like Mooney a short sports-themed radio play broadcast on BBC Radio Five Live in 2004, which had been comissioned by the BBC's Writer's Room.

In film, he appeared in the short film Hawk (2000), Mouth to Mouth (2004), and plays the male lead in the musical film Across the Universe
which will be released in November 2006.
