Joel McHale is an American actor and host of The Soup on E! Entertainment Television.

Biography

McHale was born in 1972 in Seattle, Washington, of Irish and Nordic roots and graduated from Mercer Island High School. Before completing the Actor's Training Masters Program at The University of Washington, he was part of the cast of Almost Live!. McHale also played as a walk-on fullback for the Huskies, earning a ring from the 1991 Rose Bowl Game which they won. After graduating he moved to Los Angeles and then landed small roles in Oliver Beene, Will & Grace as well as a bank employee in Spider-Man 2. He frequently appears as a co-host on Loveline.

He is married and lives in Glendale, California.
