John Blackman is an Australian radio and television presenter. He is notable for his long running voice-over role as the voice behind Australia's longest running variety show, 1971-1999, on the Nine Network's Hey Hey It's Saturday. He is now a member of the Triple M Adelaide Breakfast Show. Blackman created characters such as Dickie Knee and several other oddball characters on the show, including the angel (a small angelic creature which had an unusually coarse nature), Boom Mike (literally a boom microphone with moustache) and Mrs Macgillacuddy (a hideous old hag with raspy voice). He was also well known for an advertising campaign in the early 90's for Telecom Mobilenet where he would make telephone phone calls to unsuspecting Australians. This campaign was later parodied on The Late Show.

Blackman was the Breakfast Show presenter on Melbourne radio station 3AK from 1997 to 2000. He has authored five books including Aussie Slang and Aussie Gags.
