| John Heminges (sometimes spelled Hemminge or Hemings) (c. 1556 - 1630) was an actor in the King's Men, the playing company for which William Shakespeare wrote. With Henry Condell, he was instrumental in preparing the First Folio, the collected plays of Shakespeare, published in 1623. He was a fine actor, a trustworthy man, and had a good head for business. Until his death, he managed the Globe Theatre financial affairs with extraordinary success. Later in his life he would become the dean of English Stage.
