| John Kapelos (b. March 8,1956 in London, Ontario, Canada) is a Canadian actor. He is well known for his role in The Breakfast Club as Carl the Janitor and also appeared in two other movies directed by John Hughes: Sixteen Candles and Weird Science. Kapelos starred in the science fiction cult tv show Forever Knight as Detective Don Schanke from 1992 to 1995. John Kapelos has made guest appearances many TV shows, including Miami Vice, L.A.
