| John Phillip Law (born September 7, 1937 in Hollywood, California) is an American film actor who is best known for his role as the blind angel Pygar in the science fiction classic Barbarella (1968).
With his tall body (6 feet 5) and his steel blue eyes Law became a sex symbol in the 60's. He was an important guest on Hugh Hefner's Playboy mansion and also a society person. Law never became a real superstar but he was very popular as action hero in over more 100 Italian B-movies. most of them westerns, science fiction, action and war movies. some of this movies achieved a cult reputation.
