| Joseph Maher (December 29, 1933 - July 17, 1998) was a character actor born in Westport, County Mayo, Ireland and educated by the Irish Christian Brothers. He was one of 10 siblings. He played in 43 films and had three Tony Award nominations as a supporting actor. He died of brain cancer at his home in Los Angeles, California, aged 64.
