| Joseph McManners (born December 3, 1992 in Canterbury, Kent) is a British musical theatre actor. He was successfully chosen from around 1500 children to play the lead role in the BBC's operatic version of "The Little Prince" despite never having received formal singing lessons. During rehearsals for "The Little Prince", he was spotted by a talent agent and this lead to him being signed to a £2 million 4-album record deal with Sony BMG in 2005. He released his first album, "In Dreams" on December 5th, 2005. He has also appeared in several theatre productions, he played Oliver in the BBC's "Celebrate Oliver!" and also appeared in one episode of BBC's The Sound of Musicals in 2006 (filmed in 2005).
