| Kate Ashfield (born 1972, in Oldham, Lancashire, England) is an English actress best-known for starring in the 2004 movie Shaun of the Dead. Ashfield graduated from Rose Bruford College (previously attended King Edwards Five Ways) in 1993, and has since appeared in film, television and the theatre many times. Her first movie rôle came in 1994 as Ella in John Wells' film Princess Caraboo.
