Katie Liu Leung (Chinese: 梁佩诗, Pinyin: Liáng Pèishī, born 8 August 1987 in Scotland) is a Scottish actress of Chinese descent who plays the character of Cho Chang, Harry Potter's love interest, in the movie version of the J. K. Rowling novel, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, released in theatres on 18 November 2005.

Leung lives in Motherwell, a town near Glasgow. Her parents are separated and she currently resides with her father, Peter Leung (a native of Hong Kong), two brothers (one named Jonathon) and a younger sister. Her father owns a successful restaurant and a thriving fast-food business in Motherwell. She attended one of Scotland's most prestigious private schools, Hamilton College.

Katie's father saw an advertisement for a casting call and suggested Katie try out. Katie objected when she saw the length of the line at the casting auditions. She waited for a total of 4 hours before she got in. The audition for her only took 5 minutes and the next two weeks, she got called in for a workshop and from then on, she got the part as Cho Chang.

She was selected for the role of Cho Chang after beating out 3972 other girls in an open call audition in London for girls of East Asian appearance. She claimed in an interview with the that her Scottish accent gave her an edge in the casting room by making her stand out.

Relatively little is known about the actress at this point. Daniel Radcliffe, the actor playing Harry Potter, noted that he found Leung to be "awesome" and a "really good actress". Currently, Leung is set to act in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, for which she has delayed plans to go to art college and study at university.
