Katrina Kaif is a model and Bollywood actress. She was born on 16 July 1984. Her mother is English and father a NRI originally from Kashmir.

Katrina debuted in the film Boom, which featured her as a supermodel. She has done two Telugu movies down South - Malliswari and Allari Pidugu. She was allegedly paid Rs.70 lakhs for the movie Malliswari making her top the list of highest paid actress during a southern movie debut.

She reinvented her career with the hit film Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya and a brief but appreciated role in Ram Gopal Varma's hit film Sarkar.

The proposed movie Bheema marks her debut in the Tamil film industry. She stars alongwith National Award winner - Tamil hero Vikram.

She is now starring in a Malayalam film "Balram Vs Taradas". Mammooty, the superstar in Malayalam is the hero in this film. This film is due to be released in theaters shortly.
