Introducing: KAY MICHAEL
Three years ago, I went to a performance of "Therese." Playing the title role was a girl whose name I saw in the program was Kay Michael. She held the whole audience spellbound. Paramount's ace talent scout, Milton Lewis, was in the audience that night. "She has tremendous force and magnetism!" he kept saying, over and over again. "But she's an offbeat personality, a little too tall, not a great beauty. It would be hard to keep her busy on a contract list."

And that's why this girl, whose dramatic talent is unmistakable, has not had a break in Hollywood. But Katherine Hepburn doesn't have a conventional beauty, nor Celeste Holm, nor dozens of other starts whose names are in lights. They are actresses. So it is with this girl, who has more emotion, feeling, depth and power than any young actress on the screen today. She's going to click because talent will out.
