| ---- Kenneth Ronald Berry (born November 3, 1933 in Moline, Illinois) is an American actor, comedian, and dancer best known for portraying the television characters of: Wilton Parmenter on F Troop, Sam Jones on Mayberry R.F.D., and Vinton Harper on Mama's Family. Berry started his entertainment career as a featured performer and singer in the Billy Barnes Revues of the 1950's and 60's, along with his future wife Jackie Joseph. He had his own show, The Ken Berry 'Wow' Show, and was a recurring skit performer on The Carol Burnett Show in the 1970s. His film credits include the Disney motion pictures Herbie Rides Again and The Cat from Outer Space. Berry was married to actress Jackie Joseph from May 29, 1960 until 1977, with whom he adopted 2 children.
