Actors - Kenneth Tsang

Kenneth Tsang Kong (Traditional Chinese: 曾江), born in 1938, is one of the most respected actors in Hong Kong. In his near 50 years career and his versatility of roles, it is clearly seen why he is given that respect. He didn't begin as an actor. In fact he went to high school in Texas and later received a degree in architecture from the University of California. He returned afterwards in the early 60's to apply his skills in Hong Kong but felt bored by the work. His younger sister Jeanette Lin Tsui (林翠) was a huge film star at the time and through her Kenneth had a number of connections in the industry and was soon on his way to a lengthy career.

Kenneth made his film debut at the age of 16 in the movie The Feud. After 1956's Who Isn't Romantic?, Kenneth took a break to return in the mid 1960's to star in detective films as well as classic kung fu movies. Kenneth also appeared in a few of the Wong Fei-Hung movies in the late 1960's. As the 1970's progressed, Kenneth continued work in martial arts films as well as dramas. In the 1980's, during the wake of the new wave productions, Kenneth progressed well, even working with John Woo in the A Better Tomorrow
films in the same role as well as a role in Woo's The Killer. After work on many Chinese productions, Kenneth made his U.S. debut in 1998 alongside Chow Yun-Fat
in The Replacement Killers
. Kenneth appeared alongside Chow again in Anna and the King
as well as Jackie Chan
in Rush Hour 2
and he was General Moon in the James Bond film Die Another Day
, but that does not stop Kenneth from appearing in films from his native Hong Kong.

Kenneth current wife is Jiao Jiao (焦姣), who is also an actress herself.
