Kevin Earl Federline (born March 21, 1978, in Fresno County, California, USA), often referred to as "K-Fed," is an American dancer and rapper, husband of pop singer Britney Spears, and former co-star of the reality television show Britney and Kevin: Chaotic, which consisted of home videos shot by the couple.Relationship with Britney SpearsThe relationship between Spears and Federline, chronicled in Chaotic, began with their meeting at a Hollywood club called Joseph's. Spears soon invited him on her European tour, The Onyx Hotel Tour, and she proposed to Federline on the plane ride back from the tour.On the night of September 18, 2004, two months after his second child was born to actress Shar Jackson, Federline and Spears engaged in a non-denominational surprise wedding ceremony at a private home in Studio City, California. Although not legally binding, this "faux wedding" allowed the couple to finalize legal details of their marriage without the pressure of an upcoming ceremony. Such details were reported by The Smoking Gun website to have been the legal minutia of a prenuptial agreement, although the terms of this agreement have been disputed in the tabloid press and the Internet, and no evidence of the existence of such documents has emerged. On April 12th, 2005, Spears announced through her official website that she was expecting her first child with Federline. Their son, Sean Preston Federline, was born on September 14, 2005 in Santa Monica, California. Before meeting Spears, Federline worked as a back-up dancer for Spears' ex-boyfriend, Justin Timberlake, and the band LFO, Spears' opening act. Federline also appeared as a dancer in the film You Got Served. Federline has two children with Shar Jackson: daughter Kori (b. July 31, 2002) and son Kaleb (b. July 20, 2004). Federline and Spears began dating while Jackson was still pregnant with Kaleb and Jackson reportedly learned of their relationship through the tabloid press. Federline is also a very heavy cigarette smoker, and was criticized in the media for continuing to smoke around his pregnant wife early on in her pregnancy, often being photograghed with a cigarette in hand. Musical careerFederline's first studio album, Off The Record, is due out April 25, 2006. A minute-long clip from the track "Y'All Ain't Ready" circulated on the Internet in November 2005 to parody and ridicule. Interestingly, in the song Federline refers to the paparazzi that follow him and Spears as "Pavarottis". Opinions vary as to whether this was intentional. Federline released his first single, PopoZão, on New Year's Day, 2006, which was met with similar reception. The song is a re-imagining of a Brazilian dance track, whose title, PopoZão, is Brazilian slang roughly translated as "big or nice ass". Its lyrics have been parodied on Late Night With Conan O'Brien. Federline made an appearance on MTV debuting the single PopoZão in the studio, during which he mouthed words, danced in his chair, and exclaimed "That's fire!" This clip became popular on the Internet, sparking jokes and negative posts on his page, which features the song. Black Wall Street will not sign Kevin Federline to their label. As stated by DJ Skee, he was not included in The Game's song 360 bars; it was an add in that was added to the song later. On March 18, 2006, a track titled "KFed Freestyle" was released on Kevins official MySpace, like other tracks he refers to the papparazzi once again.Public receptionFederline has been the subject of ongoing ridicule on television and the World Wide Web, stemming from the apparent perception that he does not have a career of his own, and is living off his wife's accomplishments, a perception often spotlighted, for example, in the opening monologue of the late-night talk show Late Night With Conan O'Brien. On the sketch comedy television series Saturday Night Live, host Ashton Kutcher starred in a commercial parody as Federline for "Federline Briefs" — tight brief-style underwear with the tagline "Man panties for wiggers." In the parody, Kutcher repeats "Federline, yo" several times. Kutcher then says, "I look like I might stink, yo", and after assessing his personal odor, continues, "but I don't." This parody is a reference to Kutcher's own previous career as an underwear model.[ Visit the complete Wikipedia entry for Kevin Federline ] Some related entries: Chris Bauer | Ryuzaburo Ohtomo | Rhys Wakefield | Patrick Moore | Lionel Stander | Michael Cashman | Caroline Peters | Melissa Keller | Saul Lisazo | Robert Desiderio | Ernie Anderson This page is based on the copyrighted Wikipedia article Kevin Federline; it is used under the GNU Free Documentation License.
