Kevin J. O'Connor is an American actor best known for playing character roles in major studio movies such as The Mummy, Clive Barker
's Lord of Illusions, F/X 2 and as Igor in the 2004 movie Van Helsing.

He was born on November 15, 1963 in Chicago, Illinois, where he trained as an actor at the DePaul/Goodman School of Drama.

In Chicago, he appeared in the stage production El Salvador by Raphael Lima (1989) at Chicago's Steppenwolf Theatre. He made his New York, off-Broadway debut in The Colorado Catechism by Vincent J. Cardinal (1990) at the Circle Repertory Company.

He made his big-screen debut as the high school rebel, Michael Fitzsimmons, in Francis Ford Coppola's Peggy Sue Got Married (1989). The movie, starring Kathleen Turner, proved to be a hothouse of incipient stars. The film features the likes of Jim Carrey, Helen Hunt andJoan Allen in small roles.

Mr. O'Connor is the son of Patricia Connelly, a retired Chicago teacher, and James O'Connor, a retired Chicago Policeman.
