| Kim Tserkezie, born 30 July 1973 in Newcastle upon Tyne, is a British actress. She is best known for playing the role of Penny Pocket in the BBC children's programme Balamory. Like her character in Balamory, Kim is a paraplegic. After giving up a degree course in Combined Arts at the University of Sunderland, she worked as a TV and radio researcher before moving into acting. She has a son, Jay, born in 1995.
