LaTangela (born October 4, 1984 in Florida), a.k.a. Missy Newsome, is a talented actress and singer, best known for her role on the series Taina as Maritza Hogge, Taina's troublemaking arch nemesis. She has appeared in music videos including Mariah Carey's "Fantasy", Jodeci's "Get On Up", Subway's "I'll Make Your Dreams Come True" and Debra Cox's "Where Do We Go From Here". Her film credits include roles in Fresh with Sean Nelson, Sunset Park (Danny DeVito Films) and Mrs. Winterbourne with Ricki Lake.

Newsome has also appeared in many industrial films, PSAs and has done voice-over work in several animated films. Currently, she is a member of the critically acclaimed City Kids Repertory Group in Manhattan.
