Of all the jurors, Hultman has been the most critical of Michael Jackson
. He said Jackson probably molested some children at sometime. Asked about the sleepovers of boys with Jackson, he said "I cannot believe that ... this man could sleep in the same bedroom for 365 straight days and not do something more than just watch television and eat popcorn. I mean, that doesn’t make sense to me. But that doesn’t make him guilty of the charges that were presented in this case and that’s where we had to make our decision."

Later, he went further saying he wanted to convict Jackson, but was forced to acquit him by other jurors.

He was turned off by the accuser's mother and said "When she looked at me and snapped her fingers three times and she says, 'You know how our culture is?' and winks at me. No, that's not the way our culture is."

According Juror #5 (Eleanor Cook), Rodriguez threatened to use his power as foreman to remove Cook and Hultman off the jury unless they switched their votes from "guilty" to "not guilty".. However as a jury foreman, Rodriguez had no such power.

Some potential empathy for Michael Jackson's problem with the media, were brought out during jury selection questioning. This related to the case, because Thomas Mesereau, wanted to ensure jurors did not blindly believe any negative reports they have read about Michael Jackson. The Bashir Video
had been aired on TV, and Mesereau wanted to ensure it had not contaminated the jury pool.

Drake had competed in the equestrian sport known as dressage, where she won multiple awards, and was also an Olympic hopeful. During that time, she said she was the victim of unfair and dishonest media reports. She told the court that she also believed that there was probably spin in the Bashir documentary.

After the trial, she was asked to explain her reasoning, and she said a major issue was timeline of events. In interviews Drake has made clear, that she not only thinks Michael Jackson
is not guilty of the latest charges, but is wholly innocent, and has not molested any of the children involved in past allegations.
