M. G. Soman was an Indian actor. Soon after retiring from the airforce Soman joined a drama troop then to film. His first film was "Gayatri" directed by P.N.Menon in 1973. He then began his acting career. He played heros from 1976 to 1983 and later played villain and supporting roles. From 1973 TO 1977 he acted in the films Chattakari,Chukku,Jeevikan Marannu Poya Stree, Ulsavam, Rajahamsam, Mazhakaru, Agnipushpam, Anubhavam, and Picnic. In 1976 his first hero role was in the film Thanal. In 1977 his greatest hit film was released under the direction of I.V. Sasi Itha Ivide Vare he then became the busiest actor in the industry. by 1948 Soman had released a record 48 films. His leading heroic roles were in the films Aval Vishosthayayirunoo, Velluvili, Saayoojyam, Idavazhiyile Poocha Minda Poocha, Prakadanam, Ethiralikkal, Guruvayoor Keshavan, Kadalkattu, Itha Oru Theeram, Anaiyara, Nakshatrangale Kaval, Iniyum Puzha Ozukum, Eeta, Kathirunna Nimisham, Mukuvane Snehica Bhootam, Chuvanna Chirakukal, Avalkku Marannamilla, Innele Innu, Spodanam, Manasha Vacha Karmanna, Ezham Kadalin Akkare, Pinnilavu, and AA Rathri. In 1997, [, directed by Joshi, was his last film. He died on December 12, 1997.
