Actors - Machiko Soga

Machiko Soga (曽我町子 Soga Machiko, born March 18 1943 in Hachioji City, Tokyo Japan) is a Japanese seiyū and actress. After taking jazz dance lessons and studying Italian for a number of years, her first roles were mainly radio and voice character roles. She made her debut on NHK’s radio drama Chorinmura to Kurumi no Ki (1961), and later gained fame as the first voice actor to portray the loveable ghost Q-taro in Obake no Q-tarō (TBS, 1965-1968). However, she is best known to fans of tokusatsu for her villianous roles in the Super Sentai
franchise such as Queen Hedrian in Denjiman and Sun Vulcan, as well as the evil sorceress, Bandora in Zyuranger. Her latest tokusatsu role was Majiel, Queen of the Sky Saints in Mahou Sentai Magiranger
, which incidently is her first non-villianess role.

In between acting or voice-over work, Soga also has a fashion and jewelry line which she sells via her "Stella" designer fashion outlet.
