Born Mary Allgood (or possible Maire Allgood) on 12 January, 1885 in Dublin, Ireland; she was a 19th and early 20th century Irish stage and film actress who was the younger sister of movie actress Sara Allgood, from whom she was estranged**.

She made films from 1930 to 1953.

She died in Belfast, Northern Ireland at the age of 67 on 2 November, 1952.
