| Mark Day (born October 4, 1978 in Antigonish, Nova Scotia) is a Canadian actor. He was raised in the small Cape Breton town of Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia. Day got his first part-time job at age 14 as a Radio DJ for his local radio station CIGO Radio in Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia. He studied theatre at Acadia University before making his feature film debut as a rugged young fisherman in the 2000 film Deeply. His other film roles have included Songs in Ordinary Time, A Glimpse of Hell, Julie Walking Home and A Hole in One. (2003). He has also made numerous television appearances, most notably a recurring role on the critically praised Showcase Television sitcom It's Me...Gerald. Day also has a lead role on a new CBC Television pilot called Cheap Draft. He is currently filming a supporting lead role in CBC Television Mini Series "October 1970".
