Mark Frankel (13 June 1962–24 September 1996) was an English actor.

Beginning his acting career at 10, Frankel performed on stage until age 16, when he broke from the theater. Frankel returned to his studies at age 20 and made his made major debut with the TNT film A Season of Giants.

As Frankel's resume of television and film credits continued to grow, his personal life saw both grief and happiness. In 1990, his brother died in a flying accident, and a year later he wed Caroline Besson, a French advertising executive.

In the mid 1990s, Frankel gained cult status after appearing as the Ventrue Clanvampire prince of San Francisco in Fox's Kindred: The Embraced
. Prior to Kindred, Frankel appeared on another short-lived Fox series entitled Fortune Hunter. Portraying British ex-secret agent Carlton Dial, ] was a well produced and stylistic action/adventure with a flair for the comedic, in the vein of the Roger Moore era James Bond films. Fortune Hunter ran a mere 5 episodes in The States, with a total of 13 episodes having been produced. In 1996, before the birth of his second child, Frankel died in a motorcycle accident.
