| Matthew Twining (born September 23, 1981 in La Jolla, California) is an American actor. When he was younger he lived in Italy with a group of traveling gypsies and speaks fluent Italian. He got his start in acting working a two of David DeCoteau's homoerotic horror films. The first in a lead role in the film The Frightening(2002) and the second in a supporting role in the film Leeches!(2003). Twining is best known for playing River Carpenter on the daytime soap opera One Life to Live from 2003 until 2004.
