| Maurie Fields (August 4th, 1925-December 18, 1995) is an Australian actor, vaudeville performer and stand-up comedian. He became a well-known face on television thanks to his dramatic roles in Bellbird, The Box, Prisoner and The Flying Doctors. He was also a regular in comedy series Bobby Dazzler and did regular comedy segments on Hey Hey It's Saturday. He was married to actress Val Jellay, who was also his screen wife in The Flying Doctors. He is the father of comedian Marty Fields.
