Meshach Taylor (born 11 April, 1947 in Boston, Massachusetts, USA) is an African-American actor. He is perhaps best known for his role as Anthony Bouvier on the sitcom Designing Women. He also had a major role on the sitcom Dave's World, playing Sheldon Baylor.

He graduated from Florida A & M University in 1993. He married Bianca Ferguson in 1983 and has 3 children.
