Michael Cerveris (born November 6, 1960 in Bethesda, Maryland, USA) is a singer and actor.

Stage life

The star of multiple Broadway shows, Michael Cerveris has played roles ranging from Thomas Andrews (designer of the R.M.S. Titanic) in Titanic: The New Musical to John Wilkes Booth in Assassins. He took part in the muscial Fame and further appeared for a few scenes as singer in the movie Tokyo Pop. He gently offers his song from that film on his web page for free.

Cerveris is now playing the title role in a new production of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd, which opened November 3, 2005.

Michael Cerveris is set to play "Count Carl-Mangus" in Gary Griffin's new production of Stephen Sondheim's A Little Night Music, to play Chicago Shakespeare Theatre in Chicago, Illinois.

He has been nominated for the American Theatre Wing's Tony Award twice. He won the 2004 Tony Award for Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Musical for Assassins.
