| Michael Sacks (b. September 11 1948 in New York City) is an American actor best known for his role as Billy Pilgrim in George Roy Hill's Slaughterhouse Five, an adaptation from the novel by Kurt Vonnegut. Billy Pilgrim is a bored and somewhat passive and self-centered everyman who jumps from one part of his life to the next, mainly his time as a prisoner of war in Dresden before it was bombed, his technically happy life in suburban upstate New York, and in a dome on the planet Tralfamadore with a beautiful porn star. Other roles from Michael Sacks were in Steven Spielberg's The Sugarland Express as the kidnapped highway patrolman, The Amityville Horror as James Brolin's friend and coworker, and Hanover Street, with Harrison Ford. He apparently retired from the entertainment industry in 1984, his last role in the made for TV film Why Me?, with Annie Potts.
