| Michelle Gomez is a British actress. She was born in Glasgow and is married to Pirates of the Caribbean actor Jack Davenport. Gomez's first major role was in the film version of Irvine Welsh's novel The Acid House. She went on to star in cult Channel 4 comedy drama The Book Group before landing her best role to date as madcap office worker Sue White in the innovative comedy Green Wing, also on Channel 4. She also plays Michelle in Carrie and Barry. Gomez will next be seen in the movie Chromophobia, starring alongside Penélope Cruz.
