| Michelle Ryan (born April 22 1984) is a British actress, best known for her role as Zoe Slater on the BBC1 show EastEnders. She was born in Enfield, London. A member of a local theatre group since she was 10, Michelle was picked for her role in EastEnders when she was 15 and first appeared on the show in September 2000. In 2005 Michelle announced that she was leaving EastEnders as she wanted to concentrate on modelling and go on to establish herself as a movie actress. Michelle's next project will be role in the British television show Miss Marple, which will screen in 2006.
