| Mikheil Gelovani (born January 6, 1893 in Lasuria; died December 21, 1956 in Moscow) was a Georgian actor, who played Joseph Stalin in a series of propaganda films in the 1930s and 1940s. He was picked by Stalin because he represented his Cult of Personality and looked like an idealised version of the leader.
