| Mona Hammond OBE is a British actress and co-founder of the Talawa Theatre Company. She is best known for her five-year stint as Blossom Jackson in EastEnders (BBC, 1994-99). She was awarded the Officer of the Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in the 2005 Queen's Birthday Honours List for her services to drama in the UK. She will also appear in Doctor Who in 2006.
