Naima Mora (born in Detroit, Michigan, March 1, 1984) is an American fashion model and actress. She was the Cycle 4 winner of America's Next Top Model. Her prizes as winner were with Ford Models, a $100,000 contract with CoverGirl cosmetics, and a fashion spread in Elle Magazine. During the series, the former waitress touted her mixed African-American, Mexican, and Irish ethnicity and her Detroit upbringing. Her mohawk became her trademark. She was constantly told by the judges to show her personality, which she finally showcased in the finale. Naima is the first America's Next Top Model contestant to ever win CoverGirl of the week from start to finish.

Before Top Model

A serious student of ballet, Naima studied with Detroit's and in American Ballet Theatre's Detroit summer program. She also worked as a coffee shop waitress, before moving from Detroit to New York to attend the school of Dance Theatre of Harlem. In the past, Naima partied often. This habit continued until, one time, she passed out from consuming too much alcohol. She viewed this as a wake up call for her. Naima has since stopped partying and focuses entirely on her modeling career.

Modeling Career

Naima Mora has done segments for CG, known as "My Life As A Cover Girl".

She's modeled for CoverGirl,Fuego Magazine, US Weekly Magazine, IN Touch Magazine, Star Magazine, Teen People Magazine, Split Clothing, Jazz Album Cover, Elle Girl Magazine for Samsung and is currently featured in the February 2006 Issue of New Zealand's Womens Weekly Magazine. She also modelled with her sister Ife Mora for iTunes and was nominated for the PETA’s fifth annual “World’s Sexiest Vegetarians” poll

Naima currently has a 2 page spread in the March 2006 issue of Elle Magazine shot by Gilles Bensimon, wearing a Galliano and Yves Saint Laurent ensemble.

She's done a few runway shows, including Christopher Deane Spring 2006 Collection, Carlos Miele Fashion Show, Walmart and ELLEgirl Presents Dare To Be You Spring 2006,Fashion Comedy Style 2005 (Charity Event), Hot 97's Third Annual Full Frontal Hip Hop Fashion Show 2006, Alice & Olivia Fashion Show 2006 and Nico & Adrian fashion show in December of 2005.

Naima has also done a commercial for Seattle's fall bridal exhibition.

Naima and Cycle 3's Ann Markley were Trophy Girls at the 2005 Primetime Emmy Awards. She has also appeared on the second season premiere of Veronica Mars.



Naima was also a judge at the Miss Teen USA 2005.

More currently, Naima is filming a role for the film "Sarbane's Oxley", which as of yet does not have a release date.

During the ANTM 5 "Where Are They Now" Special, she also revealed that she landed a modelling campaign for Kenneth Flanagan who will be launching with Saks Fifth Avenue.
