| Nedra Volz (18 June 1908 – 20 January 2003) was an American actress born in Montrose, Iowa. She began her career in vaudeville as a toddler (called "Baby Nedra") and ended up in the 1970s as a well-recognized (if not well-known by name) supporting actress primarily on television and also in feature films. She often played grandmothers or feisty little old ladies. She had the recurring role of housekeeper Adelaide Brubaker on Diff'rent Strokes. Nedra married Oren Volz in 1944 and was the mother of two children, Edward Volz and Linda Deffenderer. She died of Alzheimer's disease in Mesa, Arizona, at the age of 94.
