Neil Fitzmaurice (born in Liverpool, England) is a British writer and actor best known for his role as Ray-Von in Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights which he also co-wrote.

His writing projects include That Peter Kay Thing for which he received a coveted British Comedy Award and the critically acclaimed Phoenix Nights.

As an actor, Fitzmaurice appeared in his own screenplay Going off Big Time, performed alongside Paul O'Grady in the BBC comedy Eyes Down and starred in the prison drama series Buried' for Channel Four

He has had guest roles in The Bill, Casualty spin off Holby City for BBC and the Channel Four comedy series Peep Show. He starred in the very first episode of The Office
as the applicant David Brent is interviewing for the warehouse position. He also starred in the last episode of the first series of the office where he is being made redundant by David and is asked to explain the differences between Goblins, fairies, pixies and elves.

Neil is currently working on his next film project: "Charlie Noades RIP" due in production early 2006.
