His first movie is originally made by Lvn Pictures titled Amor-Mio aka My Love co starred by Armando Goyena. de Villa is devoted to his film company until 1961 Lvn closed and he transferred to Sampaguita Pictures where he made his first movie together with Gloria Romero in 1962 movie of Tugtuging Bukid aka Music in the Field.

His favorite partner Nida Blanca made their comeback in 2 movies in Viva Films Forgive and Forget also starred by Sharon Cuneta and William Martinez and a tearjerker heavy family drama Saan Darating ang Umaga aka Where's the Morning Come billed by Maricel Soriano and Jaypee de Guzman.
