| Nicholas David Rowland Cassavetes (born May 21, 1959) is an American actor and director.He is the son of the actor and director John Cassavetes and the actress Gena Rowlands. Cassavetes has appeared in the films Face/Off, Life, and The Astronaut's Wife, among others. He has directed several films, including She's So Lovely, John Q and The Notebook. Cassavetes is married to Heather Walquist.
