| Olivia Hamnett (d. November 2001) was a British actress born in Manchester, who found success after emigrating to Australia in the early 1970s. She is probably best known for her performance in the television drama Prisoner as Kate Peterson, but also played major roles in such series as Rush, Return to Eden, The Power, The Passion and Pacific Drive. On film, Hamnett played screen wife to Richard Chamberlain in The Last Wave and screen mother to young Ricky Schroeder in The Earthling. Hamnett died in 2001 from a brain tumour.
