P.J. Soles (b. Pamela Jayne Soles on July 17, 1950 in Frankfurt, Germany) is a German born American actress who has starred in many films and on television. She is best known for being a scream queen in films.

Her best known movie roles are as Norma Watson in the 1976 classic horror film Carrie
and as Lynda van der Klok in the 1978 John Carpenter movie Halloween
. She also starred in the 1979 hit film Breaking Away
as Suzy. Soles was once married to actor Dennis Quaid, who also starred in the film.

The other roles for which Soles is well known are the 1979 cult film Rock 'n' Roll High School
(in which she played Riff Randell, a groupie of The Ramones) and the 1981 Bill Murray comedy Stripes
(in which she portrayed an MP).

P.J.'s first television role was in the television series Love Is a Many Splendored Thing in 1973. She has made many guest appearances on television shows, including Simon & Simon, Cheers, Airwolf, Knight Rider, and Hardcastle and McCormick.

P.J. Has been married 3 times. Her second husband was actor Dennis Quaid. She is currently married to her third husband and they have two children together.
