| "Pablo Picasso" is a song written by Jonathan Richman for The Modern Lovers The Modern Lovers debut album in 1976. In 1975, John Cale recorded a version of this song for his album, Helen of Troy. In 2003 David Bowie recorded a version of it for his Reality album. It was performed regularly on the following A Reality Tour, and a live version recorded at the Riverside Studios, Hammersmith, London, 8 September 2003 was released on the Tour Edition of Reality. The Butchies rewrote the song to be about Gertrude Stein.
