| Pai Chan is a fighting character in the Sega game Virtua Fighter and its sequels. She is the daughter of Lau Chan, another character in the game. Pai Chan was born May 17, 1975 in Hong Kong, China. She is a martial arts action movie star in her hometown, and her fighting style is Ensei-Ken. It is revealed that her favourite hobby is dancing. Even though Pai Chan is from China and her native language is Cantonese, she is featured in the games speaking Japanese, due to the fact that the game she's in is created in Japan. HistoryVirtua Fighter - Virtua Fighter 4Throughout Virtua Fighter 1-3, Pai competed in the World Fighting Tournament to defeat her father, Lau, whom she feels was responsible for the neglectful death of her (unnamed) mother. Pai ran away from home as a teenager when her mom died, and two years later garnered success in the movie industry (in a similar fashion of the Mortal Kombat character Johnny Cage).Pai Chan competed in the Third World Tournament but was defeated by her father, Lau. She left the Third World Tournament afterwards. Despite her loss, she was a fierce rival of her father in terms of fighting skill. Upon returning home from the Third World Tournament, Pai trained extensively to improve her Hisou-Ken. While training, she learned that Lau had contracted an incurable disease but still planned to participate in the fourth tournament. Determined to prove herself a worthy successor of her father's legacy, Pai entered the tournament to defeat him. Virtua Fighter KidsIn Virtua Fighter Kids, Pai is depicted as a young girl (six to eight years old). In this variant of Virtua Fighter 2, she is seen as a martial arts child actress, working on a movie with super deformed depictions of the Virtua Cop characters.[ Visit the complete Wikipedia entry for Pai Chan ] Some related entries: Lynne Marie Stewart | John Abraham | Henry Lytton | Kenneth Waller | Doug Hutchison | Amy Pietz | Miyoshi Umeki | Asha Patel | Gilles Guillain | Robert Webb | Nicki Paull This page is based on the copyrighted Wikipedia article Pai Chan; it is used under the GNU Free Documentation License.
