Pankaj Kapoor is an Indian theatre, television and film actor. He is best known for his roles in Maqbool
and as a struggling scientist in Ek Doctor Ki Maut. His eponymous role in Karamchand, a television series in the detective genre was shown on Doordarshan and inspired several clones. While this show was popular, his favourite lines 'gaajar khayenge aap?' and 'kitty' were favourite among the viewers.

He is the father of Shahid Kapoor, also a Bollywood actor, with his former wife Neelima Azeem. He is now married to Supriya Pathak and they have a son Ishaan Kapoor.
