She was the second wife of actor Dennis Waterman, and they have two children, one of whom is the actress Hannah Waterman. Her television roles have included parts on EastEnders (playing the mother of her off-screen daughter Hannah), Emmerdale, Doomwatch, Coronation Street, General Hospital and Miss Winters in the Doctor Who serial Robot in 1975.
