| Patrick Cargill (June 3 1918 – May 23 1996) was a British actor. He appeared in two of the Carry On films: Carry On Regardless (1961) and Carry On Jack (1963), but was best known for the British sitcom, Father, Dear Father. Probably most fondly remembered by many as the doctor who dealt with Tony Hancock the Blood Donor. Cause of deathThe commonly repeated story that Patrick Cargill died in a 'hit-and-run' accident is not correct: according to the report of his death in the Daily Mail (Friday 24th May 1996), he died from a brain tumour. The report ends by saying that "His health had been vulnerable since he was knocked down by a car in Australia late last year. He died in a nursing home after a short illness."[ Visit the complete Wikipedia entry for Patrick Cargill ] Some related entries: Zoe Wanamaker | Pete the Pup | Nancy Kwan | Derek Nimmo | ChloĆ« Annett | Daniel Hagen | Kathryn Adams | Julia Lee | Julia Breck | Robert Cummings | Sid Owen This page is based on the copyrighted Wikipedia article Patrick Cargill; it is used under the GNU Free Documentation License.
