| Patrick O'Neal (1927-1994) was an American stage, television and movie actor and New York restaurateur. O'Neal was born in Ocala, Florida, on Sept. 26, 1927. He was a graduate of the University of Florida in Gainesville. During World War II, he directed short training films while in the Air Force. After his military stint, he moved to New York and studied at the Actor's Studio and Neighborhood Playhouse. O'Neal married actress Cynthia Baxter in 1956. They had two sons, Maximilian and Fitzjohn. With his wife and his brother Michael, O'Neal was a co-owner of O'Neal's restaurant in Manhattan (the name was changed from the Ginger Man in 1993). He and his brother also owned the Landmark Tavern. Suffering from cancer and tuberculosis, O'Neal died September 9, 1994 at age 66 of respiratory failure at St. Vincent's Hospital in New York City. FilmographyTelevision
