fr:Paul Gross Paul Gross (born on 30 April, 1959), is a Canadian actor, producer, director, singer and writer born in Calgary, Alberta. He is married to fellow actor Martha Burns. He is internationally best known for his lead role as Constable Benton Fraser in the television series Due South.

Amongst his many other roles over the years, before and since that series, he has played:

  • the title role in Hamlet at the Stratford Festival of Canada
  • Chris Cutter in the Canadian curling movie Men with Brooms
  • Tom McLaughlin in the CBC mini-series H2O
  • Geoffrey Tenant in the Sundance Channel mini-series Slings and Arrows
  • First of the Tales of the City series as Brian Hawkes.
